Batter Up!

So today was my first evening away from work in awhile and I participated in Americas favorite pass time, baseball! Now, I use the term "play" loosely since I basically played catcher for an inning and then watched because I was too bad to actually be of use. However, in comparison to my normal hermit existence I was pretty proud of myself for getting out there and trying! Plus my friend Ari and I became the best cheerleaders, or I suppose "woo" girls is a more appropriate term, of all time! Some might even say we helped woo the team to victory.
(Please enjoy this terrible picture of us, or mostly Ari ;) ) Bottomline, I can officially cross off "become a pro-athlete" off my bucket list and for future reference I now know to bring a mitt!

Hiking Safety

As you can see by this epic picture of me gazing off into the distance at a large hunk of ice, I hiked the west glacier trail, which has about 10 search and rescues on it every year, out to the Mendenhall glacier because #yolo. Now let me tell you what I learned while exploring this icy death trap. One, you should definitely invest in a hands-free belt satchel (also known as a fanny pack for you muggles) and a selfie stick. You may look slightly ridiculous with a selfie stick but how else are you going to take awesome selfies like this one?

And clearly you need somewhere to store it, and that's where the hands-free belt satchel comes in! Plus its just fun to say hands-free belt satchel. The second thing I learned is always, always listen to people who are more experienced than you, even if you're stubborn like me and think you can do everything yourself. Because you will get lost, just like they said, and then you will slip on glacial ice, jam your wrist, and need to ask random boys to rescue you. Moral of this story is, don't be stubborn and know your limitations. Also, selfie sticks and hands-free belt satchels are the most genius inventions to date.

Hello!

Hey readers! We're Sarah and Hunter. Sarah lives in Alaska for the moment and Hunter lives in Utah. We decided to try out this whole blogging thing together and see how it turns out :) Hunter is a lover of food, cosmetology, and anywhere with a beach, which is unfortunate since she lives in Utah. Sarah lives by the words "adventure is out there!", loves buying clothes she doesn't need, and hates rain, which is unfortunate since she lives in the only temperate rain forest in North America (go figure). We met in 8th grade and became best friends in 9th when we decided we were the only ones that could stand each other's sass and hilarity in quantities larger than a minute. We have been inseparable ever since! Here's hoping you guys enjoy the blog as much as we enjoy making it!
